Orbis World Camp China is a highly competitive program for college students who demonstrate strong leadership qualities and international awareness. Participants were challenged to further their global leadership training by taking part in this five week intensive summer program in China. The foundation of the program is Orbis‘ Global Leadership Curriculum, which was taught by a university professor.

Throughout the program, students explored global issues including economic, environmental, social, and health issues while developing skills to critically examine these issues and defining their roles as global leaders. Students were immersed in Chinese history, culture, and development, allowing them to gain on the ground knowledge of one of the most influential and dynamic countries in the world.

Participants visited historically and culturally significant sites such as the Great Wall, Tiananmen Square, and the Forbidden City. They traveled to Henan Province, the cradle of Chinese civilization, which spans over 5.000 years. There, they investigated course material with their Chinese peers to gain a local perspective on global issues.

As a culmination of their experiential and academic learning, students produced a professional portfolio combining their personal interests and career goals with the most pressing global challenges of the 21st century.
