Description

Global Leadership Challenge was a project aimed at American students of the year-round program Global Challenge Denver, who came to Slovakia in order to learn about Europe and life there. The project culminated in a major activity – a community project. In cooperation with Global Leadership Challenge, Orbis Institute prepared a 10-day leadership project for American students, which also included a community project in an asylum center. The participants helped with light manual work, painted walls, repaired and painted railings and prepared a program for children, with whom they spent their free time. The first, preparatory part of the project took place in the US, where students learned about time management techniques, leadership and cultural differences. Later, they applied the acquired knowledge in practice during their stay in Slovakia. The participants of the project spent their free time in Slovak families, where they learned about our culture.
